The Conrad B. Duberstein U.S. Bankruptcy Courthouse building is located directly across Tillary Street from the Theodore Roosevelt U.S. Courthouse in downtown Brooklyn, New York. Built in two stages almost 70 years apart this City, State and Federal Historic Landmark building was owned and occupied for many years solely by the U.S. Postal Service. In an effort to meet the expanding needs of the Federal Courts, the GSA purchased the building and undertook an extensive restoration and adaptive re-use program to house the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts and the U.S. Attorneys Offices. The Postal Service has retained a small presence in the 650,000 SF building. Working with the GSA, Allied assisted in the initial preparation of the programming document, conducted Peer Reviews of the Contract Documents as they were developed by the A& E teams and completed post construction Area and Cost Report for the finished building.
